Troubling events in Pyr

Added by Han Sai-Ge about 1 year ago

Han Sai-Ge, a young Zoraï living in Pyr to learn more about other cultures, pauses a moment to consider and reflect upon his thoughts. Seeking guidance on recent events that have troubled his mind, he presses quill to parchment and begins to write.

Master Zhao,

I hope the times find your family well and with Ma-Duk's blessings. I write to you today with some urgency. We know the Fyros for their tempers, quick and fiery, but the commotions I have been observing recently have left me even more cautious than when I first arrived in this vineless land. The native friends that I have made have been complaining of a lack of voice in the actions of the empire. They say the Akenak make claims and excuses, but do not move in the directions the people desire.

My friends have become more vocal as time goes on. I have become hesitant to call them friends, Ma-Duk forgive me, for fear of the seriousness of their words. These are good people, hardworking, Kami worshiping citizens of the desert. People I have come to feel a kinship with.

It is not just the group of friends that I associate with. As I walk these tangled streets of Pyr I overhear others whisper similar dissatisfactions. Being foreign to these lands has made me feel more uncomfortable each time I hear discussion of the Akenak.

I pray to Ma-Duk for guidance and send you this letter in hopes you will respond with your wisdom. Shall I stay here and continue to report what is occurring, or should I return to the lush lands of Zora?

Forever your student,
Han Sai-Ge

Laying the quill down upon the desk, he takes a moment more to read over the letter. Resolute, he seals the message and departs in search of a messenger.
